there is a blue wire instead of a brown wire on my safc
 
my problem is exactly that i looked at the diagram on the apex sight and it says there is there should be a brown wire for a ground but instead i have a blue one. i have gen 1 safc. the order from top to bottom of the female leads were different in the diagram and of mine. i wasnt sure if that was a problem or not.

so has there been anyone with the same problem as me?

cool!...but, is there any reason that it says to use the digram on an rb26dett?

first gen safcs should all be the same, but they may have had a flying lead specific to a different car. Either way blue is the second air intake sensor. As far as i can tell according to Z5 on the above, its not needed...

Does this diagram seem to fit the wire colors on the harness better?

yeah much. how ever on the ecu pin outs it gives the b7(thats just from looking at it i would have to check) throttle signal pin. should i be even touching that wire though? seems like when ever i use all the others, there is non others. this is what i have gatherd on my own

i have a 87 tII btw
safc side)---------------(ecu side
IG power-----------------IG power
air flow ground----------ground
rpm signal---------------rpm signal
(air flow signal from harness goes to air flow input of safc)
air flow out put------------air flow signal

Q am i even doing any thing with the throttle singnal pin at the ecu?

and what is the engine setting for the 13bt

Q is it the same as the 13brew on the fd? if not could someone give me the setting and car select from the back?

yes.. apparently skylines have dual AFM's as well as dual turbos.

EDIT: That should be about everything you need until you start tuning it. Wiring it up should be pretty straight forward now that you have the pinout. Goodluck.

Q is the throttle signal wire going to go untapped? or am i going to do something with it?

i don't believe there will be any leads left on the safk (except the blue). I dont think the first gen uses the TPS
