Is there a 12volt switched lead near the Leading coil?

I want an ignition turn on lead near the leading coil for an e-fan. So the fan will only come on when the car is on.
I know about the electric thermo switches. I had one. It stopped. This is to get me by until my new one gets here.

I don't have the adjustable suspension...
And I don't know what the plug looks like.

By the leading coil on any 2gen is a green gang plug, 6 terminal. The center wire, (if I recall correctly) nearest the clip on top, is a switched positive output. You do NOT want to pull any amperage through this, but it makes an excellent trigger. Be sure to use a relay to pull amperage from the battery, and use this as your trigger. I use it on all my e-fans.

BTW, e-thermostats suck, in my exprience. I always wire the fan straight to the ignition through a relay, using the fan's lowest speed (I use a multi-speed fan). This almost eliminates the chance for failure while keeping everything clean and simple, and it stil doesnt draw a lot of power on a healthy charging system. Every fan is different, however, and this is not suitable for some fans that only run on high speed.

I anticipated that...

All FC's were equipped with the wiring to make AAS all the easier to Install. Obviously, not every FC got AAS.

You'll see, at both Shock Towers, a 6 pin White Harness Plug. Use, from either side, the center pin, closest to the push tab, for your 12v Ign Source.

I use both of them. One for efan and the other for RPM Switch to activate my Auxilliary Ports;)...

thanks guys. I have been crawling under my hood to jab the relay lead into the positive terminal on the battery.
I have thought about just making it work this way anyway, but I don't want the drain on the charging system when I don't need it. I think I may wire a switch mounted in the cockpit so I can turn it off at will.
Or I may go back to the thermo switch

thanks guys

Do it right, go back to the switch.

BTW, where were you earlier this month? You missed a meet, and a pretty nice FD
