Hey, if you need two AC system's I have one to. I has every thng exept for the AC raditaor part, I had to cut a line off of it to get it out. But other than that it is all there, if you want two, buy mine to. :D

CrackHeadMel 06-08-03 09:33 PM

If you want a non-ps rack i think i know a place local to me where you could get one. Ill check tommorow if you want, shipping will be cheap to your only, what like 100 miles away

Why bother with the manual rack? The Power one capped off will work just fine, plus it has a slightly tighter ratio than the manual one. You might notice a little more resistance is slow-speed situations, such as parking lots, but thats about it.

I remember that someone told me that power racks colapse after a while.

I remember that someone told me that manual racks aren't worth the effort to install because they are essentially similar.

All that stuff removed should be worth 50+ pounds if you get it all. The hard part is the AC condenser under the dash, between the blower motor and the heater core.

You could forget palming the wheel anymore.:D

As Silkworm mentioned awhile back, after the removal It Is guaranteed to put a smile on your face when seeing the space you created!

yea i'm looking forward to being able to change spark plugs without hyperextending my elbow

rx72c 06-09-03 07:00 AM

My car was originaly and n/a so its already 75 pounds lighter, the bonnet i think is like 5 pounds lighter, no a/c, no powersteering, no shrud fan. My car is around 1050kg. WIth a turbo 11 , should be able to kill most cars

Wait I'm confused  I don't live in NH, I live in SC. What are you talking about???

oops i meant to quote crackhead :)

There is a non PS rack in the FS section right now, and it says make an offer. I would cut him low and then start horse trading, and get it kinda cheap. But they usually sell for like 100+ dollars. All the junk yards around me want like $150 even if I take it out.
