Tensioner Bolt?
Unfortunately I snapped a tensioner bolt on my 1990 RX7 vert. This particular bolt holds the adjustment pulley for the power steering. I have a bolt in there temporarily which works with the belt that is on there, however, I am replacing that belt since it is older and not really the correct size for the power steering. It is far too large and at the max tightness there's still too much play. I can't seem to find a bolt matching this one anywhere unfortunately. Does anyone have any recommendations? I appreciate the help.

Tensioner Bolt?
I had the same problem on my s4, but it was my fault, i tightened to much and i snapped it. What i did was hardware store, and matched up the thread and bolt length
|
Yeah, I tried that one, but the bolt I got was not long enough. I need at least another inch and a half to be able to make it work unfortunately.

i think you can still get them new and pretty cheap too
|
Yeah, I'm sure they are out there... my problem is finding out where.

a mazda dealer or even a call to one and have it slipped into an envelope and mailed to you
|
I used threaded rod and had a buddy touch a nut to the top of it.
Poof..instant home made bolt.. |
I was able to replace my whole tentioner bolt and threaded rod from mazda within the last 6 months for less than $20 well worth it for an oem part.

It's an M6 x 1.00 something like 100 threads long. Just bought a whole bunch of them yesterday at a local fasteners specialty store. :) I have like 15 of them now, due to the minimum purchase  They're even stainless!

maybe you can sell the fella one
|
Haha pay shipping and I'll chuck it in an envelope
