AT Temp Sensor

Does anyone know if a 90 Model w/automatic has any type of transmission temp. sensor that could put the car in limp mode? I have one that's driving me crazy. The car starts and runs perfect for several minutes at idle. It will rev 7000 with no problem. Then it seems to go into some type of limp mode and will not rev like it should. It sets no codes on the ECU, and if you turn it off for a few minutes it will run fine again for a short time ( Shorter time than when the car was cold ). Also the time period is shorter if you drive the car. I replaced the radiator with one from a standard and installed an aftermarket transmission cooler. This is why I'm wondering about the temp. sensor. To avoid a lot of replies, the F. Pump and filter are new. Holds good F. Pump pressure, even when running bad. Any help appreciated.

none that I know of...
I don't think temperature causes these cars to do anything like that no matter what... but hows the temp under the hood?? hows your thermostat?
and what mods do you have?

Engine temp good. No engine mods. Does this even with hood up.

okay... i'd download a FSM... look in the FAQ for where to get one... or just search (google works too)...
and check the AFM to make sure it's working right... it almost sounds like that could be the problem...
