Looks good man, nice to see you do it urself

something ive always wondered about seeing these pics... is it better to knife edge the transittions between the throttle plates like that, or to leave a more rounded initial peak...
just looking at other things designed to be very efficient in splitting air, airplane wings have rounded front edges not knife edges... also i remember reading that the teardrop is the most airodyamic shape... so thats a rounded edge as well anybody know? |
I think that your exposed to have sharp edges for exiting fluids... and that only sharp leading edges are for fluids traveling over 1000 mph...
I'm guessing that they could cause turbulence... only the dyno will prove. |
just by $.02 but that brings up a good point, unless you can make the knife edge perfectly (or dang near) straight its going to cut the air funnymoving more air one way or another. The rounded point wouldn't cut as nicly but it would insure a more even break in the airstream.

This is off topic, but psyclo has the best sig. ever.

you gonna fill in the three exposed holes or leave them empty? if you leave them empty you're gonna get some nice turbulence in there.
my servers down right now but when its up ill link some pics. kevin. |
what did you use to get the TB like that? also, can we get an impression of what kind of difference that makes in your cars drivability?
|
Dude...... dissassemble the t-bod first next time.... that way you don't get the dust down in the plats and its MUCH easier to clean.
