Taking off sun-roof on my s5, NEED HELP!

If anyone could give me some advice on the easiest way to do it I would very much appreciate it!

just the sunroof panel? The interior liner of the sunroof pops right off. Open the sunroof until it tilts up all the way. Pull that liner off. Now there are a series of 10mm nuts that hold the panel to the rails. Remove those, pull off the sunroof.

Or the whole assembly? Remove the headliner by first removing the trim off of the A-pillars, the overhead lights, sunvisors, iirc there is a bar by the back window with screws in it that holds the back of the headliner on. Take the headliner out, remove all the bolts holding the sunroof assembly in.

The back trim has 2 small 1/4 inch screws on it.Then it is held by clips.Use a flat-head and get under the trim and it will pop off.(carefully do this IF removing trim this way)
If you take the sunroof panel off then you are shedding wight off..IF not, then open the sunroof slightly( with the allen key..do it manually) and it will make the assembly come down easier.
When you undo the 6-8 10mm nuts on each side of the inside of the Car,make sure you are Ready to "take the weight" of the sunroof assembly as it will fall on you!.Maybe get someone to help you take it out.

^^^what he said! The assembly is much heavier than it looks and sharp in places. A helper and some gloves. Also be aware that there are drainage tubes that run down the a pillars. If permanently removing just cut them if not carefully break the seal at the front two corners as im pretty sure they're glued from the factory or fish them out.

Don't cut the drain tubes. They can come off the roof assembly when you pull the roof out..(just twist and Voila!)..Put them back on when you put the assembly back in and add a dab of sealant.Done.
If you pull them you may not be able to snake the tubes back down where they are supposed to be in order to drain from the vehicle..and that would cause water to build up and rust to start.,quickly.
