T2 peps whats ur gas mileage?

I want to no for all the peps out there with t2 7s with the stock turbo and ecu. what kind of gas mileage are you guys getting? My wifes car is streetported and reuilt and its ggetting est 12.6 to the gallon. i had a fuel leak and fixed it but it still seems to be getting the same. it has a bad fuel gauge i think b/c when it reads empty it only takes 12.3 to fill is up. i have changed out the sending unit to make sure it wasnt the unit but with no luck. so again like i said what are all of you getting with a stock ecu and turbo.

15 is the worst I have gotten, best ever 25 mpg. No A/C windows down all the time.

Average: 17 mpg city, 23 mpg hwy

s5 13b, street port, Haltech e6x, no O2 sensor control

EDIT: Sorry I didn't see you wanted stock ECU mileage.

Better gas mileage with the windows UP and AC on, then AC off and windows down. Proven fact.

iwas getting about 16mpg in the city, and on highway was incredible over 40 mpg, Im dead serious. Stock turbo, stock ports, gutted cat, fuel cut defencer, intake,s4 na ecu[ I know JPR motoring did it] and easy driving. I would keep it under 3000 rpm, shift early and nuetral down hills.. On the freeway felt like free gas, as if the turbo was giving the motor momentum and it wouldnt be burning much fuel, I would keep it at 3000-3500 rpm steady.. From my house to willowsprings only cost me $15 bucks of gas, and its aprox 135 miles drive from my house. And from my house to UCLA was only less than $5 of gas lol for a 35 miles drive. I loved my t2... Then as soon as I mash on the pedal, the mpg was reallll badd lol,the engine would get excited then shooting flames...oh i miss it. My NA eats more gas than the t2 lol. most of u probly wont believe me lol.. has anyone had this great gas mileage on freeways for their t2 ?

my new t2 build should be better i hope !

Try getting the fuel cleaner from redline, you have to buy it online at their website since they dont sell it in stores(Only the diesel version is in stores). I tryed pretty much all the other ones at autozone and stuff and maybe gained me 1 mpg or so if i was lucky( NA was getting 12mpg when I first got it) Now I get anywhere from 20-22 mixed driving. The redline boosted my mpg anywhere from 3-6 mpg depending on my driving habits.

If this is in response to me saying windows down. That is why I mentioned that, if I had AC I could acheive better mileage.

Closing this topic.

Mileage has been beat to death here. So much so that it's already in the FAQ.
