T2 Harness-t2 Injectors- Lil' Help

I was just routing my t2 harness into place and went to plug in the injectors and they dont fit- heres the problem, the s4 t2 motor i have has RED injectors- the harness has WHITE clips, so the notch on the bottom of the injectors is off-centered. The notch on the white clip is centered- so they meet up in the wrong spot- Heres what I think I should do- dremel the notch off the bottom of the injector so that theres nothing to hit when it plugs in, also it will still hold cause the notches on the side(with the C clip) are still there- my only question is- will this work without affecting how the injectors work and perform?

im also doing the same thing at this very moment ! i hae a jdm motor which also has the same red injectors and my harness has white connectors . what is did was simply placed them onto the red injectors and tere a snug fit. thats just for temerary till i get the motor running properly.and i was thinking of uying new injectors so i dont have to worry about do the dremel thing you was talking about.
BTW do you have pics of how your harness is plugged up to your motor? cause im not to sure if i put every connection in it proper place!!!! :rlaugh: but anyhow goodluck with that

What I'd do is turn the key to ON. Then put a meter on the injector plug and see if ONE of them has battery voltage or not. It should. Matters not which of the two wires has battery voltage with the key ON.

No voltage? Then you need to see if the harness has the Solenoid Resistor Package installed. See the FSM for the Solenoid Resistor Package location.

You do not state if you have a non turbo going into a turbo or ??????????

it is a jdm s4 turbon into 87 base- I am sure it will be fine- I was just making sure there was a big no-no with that i didn't know about- as far as pics go- I have some and can take som more- but I am not sure mine is right- this is my first 7 and t2 swap so I am kinda wingin also- but ill be more than happy to help with anthing you need

More about injector impedances on 2nd generations:
1986 and 1987 model cars used low impedance(2-3 ohm) injectors. Low impedance injectors have a center notch on the plug. The wiring harness used with LI injectors integrates an injector resistor pack, wired inline between the ECU and injectors(under stock air box) to bump overall load seen at the ECU to 12-13 ohms.
1988 and later models used high impedance injectors. 1988 HI injectors have an offset notch on the plug, and all post 1988 injectors are HI with an oval plug(until 3rd generation side feed injectors which are totally different). The wiring harness on these models deleted the injector resistor pacl, carrying the 12-13 ohm load from the injectors directly to the computer.

I just found that- so now what to do?- Or does that mean- that the injectors are diff but - the signal coming in is the same(unaffected)?

nevermind- i got it figured out- if your wonderin rotoryressurection.com in the tech section under injectors shows exactly what to do
