T2 Diff questions

Recently pulled this Diff from a turbo in the wrecking yard, have a few questions:

I can NOT get the stub shafts to spin in opposite directions no matter how hard I try, so I assumed maybe it was welded? Is this normal?

Opened up the case to check if it was welded, don't see any signs, here are the pictures, which brings me to the next question, is this an S4 clutch type or S5 viscous?

Thanks for the help!

It's not supposed to let you spin the wheels opposite directions.. The T2 diff will lock up pretty strongly. My friend who just installed an S4 clutch type in his S5 NA said that he can feel it resisting a bit when he turns..

Compare the stubshafts that came out to that pic.

From the pic of the stubshaft in the background looks like a early S4 diff.

LSD units wont spin in opposite directions easily.
That looks like a clutch type.
