T2 conversion...help needed

I'm going to try out my T2 swap this weekend. I have a few questions that weren't very clear in all the other threads. I'm going to use the N/A harness and I'm confused about the injectors. One thread says resistors and another says splice. I'm confused as to what to actually do. I think the resistors sounds easier but could someone go into depth a little more on what to actually do and how to do it? I am very grateful for your help. Thank You

first off what year is ur car. i think its 88 1/2 and later had high impedence injectors. if ur using a s4 engine and electronics and a s4 na engine harness it will all work good. plug and go.

What year engine are we talking about? S4? If it is...

'86-'87.5 injectors are low impedance (2-3 ohm), and have offset tabs.

'87.5-'88 injectors are high impedance (12-13 ohm), and have centered tabs.

Your profile says you have an '88 vert, so your harness will be set up for high impedance injectors. You can use low impedance injectors with it, but you will need to wire in some resistors where the injector wires meet the ECU. I use 6 ohm, 10 watt resistors, but you can use up to 10 ohm.

The wires you want will be pins 3C, 3E, 3F, 3H (FSM pages 4B-32 & 33). Just cut each wire, add a length of wire with the resistor, and solder everything in.

my car is a 88 vert the motor is an S4
so is it plug and play or no?
if it's not plug and play the info RotaryRocket just posted is good and I should be fine come sunday when I start the swap...

It's plug and play if the engine you're putting in uses high impedance '87.5+ injectors. You'll need to look at the tab offset to find out. If they're centered, you're good.

ok since i was wrong with the year it was changed. my car was made in 8/87 but the engine harness i am using is s4 with low impedance injector clips. this doesnt matter anywhere else right bc the ecu i have is for a s4 turbo.

okay now I'm doing my emissions removal. I've removed the rats nest and I bought a block off plate kit from banzai...now that I have received the block off plates I'm getting stumped. I've looked at diagrams and read through the rotary resurrection site on what to do. Is there anyone is Fort Myers/Naples area that can lend a hand?
