T-70 cold side .096 hot side xs power turbo?
So ive been on the hunt for a bigger turbo for my fc. My question is how streetable is a t70 xs power turbo ? Anyone know the kinda power this turbo can make and still not do any harm to my engine?
Wud i have to go stand alone for this turbo? I came across the turbo with external wastegate, dump tube, and ss manifold for $400 ... I have afc neo, rtek 1.8 with 720's x4 v-mount 2.75 ic, 3" koyo rad full 3"exhaust on a street ported 13bt with s5 housings,s4 t2 rotors, all emissions removed and blocked off 9lbs fidanza flywheel, stage 2 spec clutch. |
those xs power turbos are just generic china turbos. You're rolling the dice with them, i've seen some last a while and others fail in one or two thousand miles.
with a turbo that big you should go standalone. they usually have 4 inch inlets and at that point the stock AFM finally becomes a restriction |
fast, cheap, reliable. pick two.
it is definitely not a good idea to run a t4 framed turbo without a standalone. |
Fast and reliable.... Looking to spent 800 for a turbo and manifold. Oh ya btw I rarely drive my fc, so it wont really see alot of stop and go traffic so i am looking for a good size turbo that will work with my v mount....

master power turbos are good for their price. also, i would stick with a greddy or hks cast manifold as they are pretty much indestructible and aren't as expensive as quality tubular ones. you'll still need a standalone which is $600-$1500 + paying someone to tune it if you can't do it yourself.
