Switching actuator

Ok I'm removing the emissions controls and the vacuum rack on my 88 Turbo 2 and need to know what to do with the switching actuator. The car is mostly stock except for the exhaust. DO I remove it too or or do I keep it , and if so how do I hook it up. Please help me with this.
Thanks

For a mostly stock car you should definitely keep it. You need to remove the solenoid valve with the green plug and the green and white check valve from the vac rack. Re-plumb the system using rubber vac hose, following the schematic on page 4B-53 of the FSM Fuel Systems chapter. Make sure you orientate the solenoid as per the schematic, and orientate the check valve so air flows to the manifold. Use the top nipple on front of the UIM. I zip-tied the solenoid valve to the brake lines on the firewall and extended the green plug's wires over to it.
