Swapping a 88 na 13b nonturbo into 86 na need some help plse

ok i have a 86 na 13b with blown motor. I was planning on putting a 88 13b n/a in it. What im wondering is will everything bolt up or is going to be a pita! Ive heard from others that the emissions can be different sometimes? Also im not just taking the core its basically the whole car that my buddy is getting rid of. He said its a canadian motor? I know that when it was working it seemed to have almost the same amount of pickup as my buddys old 89 t2(stock). I need all the help i can get. Im going to buy this car from him soon so any and all help would be greatly appreciative. Oh yah i did try the search but didnt really find anything besides t2 swaps. Also what is s4 and s5. I know im a newbie lol. thanks guys, kevin.:)

S4 is series 4; those are the 86-88 RX-7's, and S5 is Series 5; those are the 89-91 RX-7's. As for info on the engine swap, I've never done one, but since they are from the same series car, I don't believe there would be a problem.

I would think that this wouldnt be much of a problem. s4 is 86-88 and s5 is 89-91 So since both of the cars are s4's there should be nothing at all different between them. Just be careful removing the engine, remember to mark where everything goes, and you should be fine.
