swapped turbo but now....
I just swapped out the turbo on my car for another stock turbo. the power increase is outstanding, my other turbo is dead, but it idels really high, like 3k high. I haven't checked my idel set screw, but when i tap the gas it has no responce really, it will just jump up and then slowly slowly make its way back down to 2k or so. where should i start looking for this slow reving problem?

This sounds like a really bad air leak somewhere. Check your TID for cracks and/or loose connections. I had a problem like this on my '87 TII, turned out Keith had forgotten to tighten the screw clamp on the turbo inlet side of the TID. Also, make sure a hose has not been left off somewhere. Check for hoses that have hardened and cracked. Check vacuum - if it is low, there is definitely a leak somewhere. Check for hissing sound, the sure sound of a vacuum leak. Good luck.

I had to put mine on the ramps and spray starter fluid on the duct connections on the bottom to find that there was a split turbo inlet duct. Found other leaks with this method, spraying around vac hoses etc.
