So you know there are NO turbo kits made for n/a rx-7s. There are one or two out there, you just need to SEARCH.

I say just make your own kit.
I am working on one for my GXL right now that uses the Eaton M90 from a Thunderbird SC. The biggest problems are in fabricating the parts and mounting it all so that you have it all lined up properly. The supercharger itself can handle over 13,000 rpms, but I am still looking into having a custom pulley done to keep the revs down a little bit. Also--plan on using an intercooler. Atkins has some good stuff, but they do not yet have a kit that works with our EFI. They were working on one last I knew but it wasnt ready. So if you intend on gettin the kit, plan on ditching your EFI. |

I had a thread on it a little while ago... discussing the the differences between the types of superchargers (and what we can do for under 3 thousand dollars ;) )

although, i noticed you havent posted much... if your looking at upgrades, first things i would recomend are full tuneup, exaust, intake, (maybe safc with dyno), more agressive rear gears (4.3, 4.77), and an lsd if you dont have it, new suspention, upgraded brakes
and then start thinking of a supercharger... your car will be more fun and easier to drive and control with all those things, and then you can truely apreciate the extra power |
Don't forget a grippier clutch. You will need this to keep from slipping with a supercharger. Might also want to think of getting a lightened flywheel while you're down there.
