Sunroof Panel removal with no power
Ok ive seen the sunroof panel removal threads and I attempted switching mine out today, but came across a major dilema. Since an important part of getting it out is opening it slightly so i can remove the interior panel, how do you do ti if the assembly is out of the car and the roof cant be opened? Im sure some has done it seeing that cars in a junkyard have no power. ALso, how is the interior panel held on? I dont see any type of screws so i assume its either glued or thim metal bent at the edges.
Thanks for any help, my plan for the morning is shot now. |
take off the inside ceiling and unbolt it from the roof

You can't crank it open with the allen wrench into the centercap on the cieling?

open the sunroof about 3" from the front. detach the square celing part, it just pops off. remove 6 bolts holding metal panel on, might have to close sunroof a lil, the rearmost one is a little hard to get to. remove metal panel. done.

DONE, thanks guys. I actually finished before this detailed explanation^^ but thanks anyway.
However it turns out that the seemign decent panel i thought i had actually has almost as much rust damage as the one I was going to replace, so this will be my first every attempt at bodywork. BTW does anyone know of any company that makes a spray paint decently close to s4 tornado silver metallic? Duplicolor maybe? |
