Summer Engine build up

This summer i plan on rebuilding a motor before i go to college. I've been searching for several months on what i want to do. I've got it narrowed down to a few choices.

1. straight rebuild all new seals, not porting.
2. rebuild with streetport or half bridgeport.
3. buy a turbo motor and swap it in

i read on kevin's site about the half and full street port, the half sounds good, so i can retain low end and idle, would i be losing much by going w/ a half over a full street port?

I'm fairly new to the rx-7, i've only had mine for a year now. the motor in it runs great, dont know compression, but she runs smooth, coolant seals are starting to go, and oil rings are going bad, but once it warms up she's fine.

this will be my first rebuild comming up, thankfully i know a guy around town that can help with some things. what do you guys think would be the best option?

well if you're looking to make some horsepower down the road I'd step into a turbo motor personally...

But you can make decent with a half bridge, you'll retain good idle with a proper tune and setup and you *really* won't "lose" any power down low when compared to a full streetport (since imagine you'll be doing a combo port, street on primaries bridge secondaries)

well since i'm going to college i really don't want to have to mess with a turbo. how much do you think i can gain by doing a half bridge or streetport? i've searched and found roughly 40%
