stuff *needed* when installing 4.33's
I just ordered some 4.33 gears
for my TII Now i see a bunch of bearings and stuff listed on the mazdatrix site what should i replace at a minimum when installing new gears any one? Lock nut (All) Pinion seal (turbo) Front pinion bearing (Turbo) 2 Required Spacer tube (Turbo) Middle pinion bearing (Turbo) Collapsing sleeve/collar (Turbo) Rear pinion bearing (Turbo & N/T) Side axle seal (Turbo) 86-92 Turbo side carrier bearing |
every thing and you wont have any problems for a long long long ass time!

prussian blue dye? dont forget the small stuff.

Seals and bearings, as with anything else.
Don't need the crush tube or spacer. Some bearings may not need replacing after inspection but that is a judgement call on your part. |
FSM recommends replacing the collapsable collar.

Well it's survived 3+ years and several dozen track events so I'm not to worried.
