Stronger LSD lock-up without LSD additive?
Hey, In trying to temporarily get stronger lsd lockup, i've read that using thicker gear oil and no lsd friction additive can impove lockup.
This true, I'm thinking maybe i used too much when using the thin royal purple oil and a lsd additive. I have a s4 clutch type, with a Turbo engine pushing around 300 tq. Car still spins both tires but doesn't lock as hard in the turns as it should. Thanks guys, Matt |
in the turns?? lsds are supposed to slip in the turns? maybe? other wise it would just be a locked diff?? *sigh* "drifters"....

Professional racers tune the lock-up by changing the LSD clutch stack thickness. You can get the needed extra parts from Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development or Mazdatrix. If your LSD still has the original clutches, then it is no wonder that it is slipping.

royal purple doesn't require an LSD additive.

Weld it. Cheap. Works.
