eww, I have this sometimes, too, and I still haven't completely fixed it. I will tell you some things that may have helped though (this doesn't come up very often for me anymore, but it does once in a while so that's why I say it's not 100% fixed).
-replaced my ignition switch
-replaced my battery with a really beefy one
-replaced my starter
-replaced my alternator
-adding solder in the corroded points on my main batter ground line using a torch (it will take time to pull the line out and then several minutes per point to heat the wire up enough so the solder is wicked into the wire and not just go around it. it is important the solder gets into the wire)

The last step was a noticeable help. The past several weeks I haven't been able to hot start the car, but soldering the ground line made it so I can now start it up anytime. I still have to use the fuel cut switch if the motor is still real warm, but I can still get it started.

damn it now it wont start

First off get your alt, battery, and starter all tested. Hopefully you have another car or a friend who can help you take those things to a parts store for testing. Next you'll probably want to clean up all the major engine grounds. There's a writeup by Aaron Cake for that specific process.

I have used a DVOM on the battery starter and have combed through the wires for possible breaks of corrosion. i can t find anything wrong i am totally stumped i have even took my starter to advance auto parts and tested it. i thought i would try and push start it but it wont hold an idle it will stay cranked if i keep it rev in high rpms but thats it :wallbash:

There are two ways to fix it, keep replacing stuff or keep testing stuff until you find the problem. It could easily be poor electrical connections, whether it's in the middle of a wire(s) or from bad contacts.

check the wire attacthed to the starter it may be burned out

most people here will just tell you to use the search button up top even tho its pretty useful.

glad you found the cause of the problem.
i didnt even think that it was because of the battery.
