stock turbo and boost

I want to upgrade turbo's and probably megasquirt in the near future, but i've been toying with what I got for now, wondering what you guys feel about 12-14 lbs of boost on the stock s4 turbo. is it going to really wear the stock turbo out? is it pushing it beyond its ideal cfm ratings? haven't seen enough about it.

mods include:

3" dp and 3" back all the way to RB catback exhaust
Rtek 1.8
720 primaries & 1000cc secondaries
nooo emissions
AEM wideband
fmic
intake
safc
no ac/ps
and a couple other non related mods.

right now i'm righ at 11psi, but still want a little more juice if its not going to be to problematic.

these turbos are getting really old, need refreshing so the physical part might not be at par.

Now the efficiency part is also not at par past the 12 psi. you'll get more air in, but at the cost of the efficiency and the air intake temps going up.

I think The turbo would be the weak point in the system. Take a look at the BNR setups. Think thats going to be the most bang for your buck.

from my recent research, 12psi seems to be the limit for the stocker.

my car will see 10-11psi max...until i get my BNR 3.

Thanks for the advice.

i see a v8 in your future, who's tuning your safc? also your system is flowing pretty well since your not rocking the cat or emissions..so most of
your safeguards are gone for boost creep, did you port your wastegate?

so ur rtek is chipped for two set of injectors too? my friends had luck with the safc and avcr combo but that was stock boost + plus a tune but fast n fun

if i remember right the 1.8 will also retard the ignition 1degree for every psi above 9. should be a decent failsafe. I'd still run a wideband just to make sure.
