Stock Coolant Level Sensor in Aftermarket Rad
I am putting in a custom aftermarket radiator and I would like to use the OEM coolant level sensor. How would you recommend I adapt it? I have had one suggestion of welding a plate on top of the rad and threading a hole in it. Any other thoughts?
Thanks. |
put a bung in the rad like the stocker? doesn't seem too difficult if you're making an entire custom rad.

Bung, plate, same difference. :)
Another thought is to drill a hole in the rad in a place where you can access it from the inside (coolant inlet/outlet?) and then put a bolt on the other side of the sender with a Dowty seal on the top where the sender meets the top of the rad to prevent leaks. |
