Stock Coolant and Boost Gauges

Ok, I think both of these gauges work on my 87 Turbo II, but they're are off like a mofo.

The coolant gauge is so far off, when it overheated(previous owner) it would hit the "C" mark.
How can I adjust it??

And the boost gauge, it hardly gets off the resting spot when I run it into turbo territory, whats up?

You should get aftermarket guages.

Do aftermarket gauges plug into the locations that the stock one do?

when it overheated(previous owner)
that is not good.... one overheat on these engines and they are probably toast...

no aftermaket ones don't plug in. they would go somewhere else. but they are alot better. the stock boost gauge is useless. as soon as you want to start upgrading anything. you need a better one.

I would check to make sure your boost sensor is pluged in. (pass shock tower)

does either gauge move at all? or they do just no in the right spots? if they don't move. I'd suspect they are unpluged or something is broken. if they do move. then I guess the laler.

Well, it never acutally overheated, I just said that so I didn't have to explain the situation.
The water pump was going bad on the previous owner, and he said once it got CLOSE to the "C" mark it was getting too hot, not overheating.

Anyhow, yes both the gauges mentioned move slightly, they just aren't accurate in the least bit.

Like I said, the water temp moves correctly, just in the wrong place.

The boost gauge is either bottomed out, or moves VERY slightly when boost is on.
