Stock Boost guage line
Hwy guys, im going to tap my stock boost line into the boost sensor line so i get a vac reading. I already have an aftermarket guage. When i take off the stock line from the TB do i have to cap it off? i also have a 2nd question, i sorta lost where it was when i took off the line and i cant find the nipple that it connected to. Could someone help me out please. Thanks -alex

The boost sensor still needs to be hooked up for the car to work if you are using the stock ECU.... the most common way to add an aftermarket gauge is to use a "T" splitter and tap into the line from the UIM to the intake manifold... the boost nipple for the boost sensor is the one right in the middle on the UIM where it meets the LIM |
I did put a T fitting into the Boostsensor line and every thing is still hooked up. I was just asking if i had to cap off the nipple on the UIM where the stock line went. And i beleive this is a yes judging from your response. Thanks very much, ill be sure to cap it off.
