Stock Boost Gauge is Inop.

I have a Fuel Cut controller installed, and I believe it is causing my stock boost gauge to be inoperative (not sure, bought the car in this state).

Will an aftermarket boost gauge work correctly?

Aftermarket boost gauges use their own pressure source supplied by a piece of teflon hose that you run into the cockpit.... So yes, it will work regardless of what the stock one is doing..

BUT.. the stock boost gauge gets its signal from the stock pressure sensor located on the passenger side shock tower.. Most FCD's still allow the stock gauge to work, they just alter the signal from the pressure sensor to the ECU.. Even the home-made type...

Either the gauge is broken, or the wiring is screwed up in the FCD

Disconnect the FCD and see it the gauge starts working..

If the FCD is wiried in at the ECU.. the wiring to the gauge may have been mistakely cut or damaged.
