Sticky throttle

Alright, so ever since i bought my car the throttle has always been pretty strange feeling. Whenever the motor gets hot from me opening it up it starts to stick open. Now usually i would just get home as fast as possible, and hose down all moving parts with carb cleaner. This normally worked fairly well, and would fix it for a little over a week. But it's becoming a big problem now. It sticks on me everyday and is getting rather annoying. Nothing on the tb gets caught up on anything. Seems like it's getting stuck internally.

Has this happend to anyone else? How did you fix it, or do you have any idea's?

oh, and the previous owner did the tb mod. Not sure if that matters, maybe he did something wrong?

Any input would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

disconnect the throttle cable from the TB, move it in and out to see how it feels
You can either try lubing it or there are tons of NA cables floating around from people doing turbo swaps

if its smooth then try the linkage on the tb itself

I had a sticky throttle issue on my last throttle body that had the TB mod. I figured out that after the thermowax had been removed, the fast idle cam was getting stuck on the roller pin. There was quite a bit more pressure from the cam on that roll pin.

I'm not saying that this is your particular issue, but don't rule it out. After checking the throttle cable, throttle body and other associate parts... Consider removing the TB and inspect everything very thoroughly. Especially all movement.

I know it's not my cable. I have a brand new t2 cable, freshly lubed.
