Stereo Wire Identification in 90 Vert

Before anyone says anything about "search", I DID... but there was nothing on the wires I'm trying to identify.

Now, on to the topic at hand...

The wires I'm trying to identify are listed as L/B (blue with black stripe) in the FSM wiring diagram and there's a wire in each harness. Now the 2 Metra wiring harnesses that plug into the factory ones, do not have corresponding wires for either L/B wires. Can someone please tell me what these 2 L/B wires are for? TIA.

It appears that they go to the oem amplifier. They appear to be the ground lead (or +12v) to the amp.

I could be wrong but to me that's what the fsm diagram looks like.

Are you sure this is a 90 wiring diagram? Mine only shows a TYPE 1 audio system. But anyway, I circled the wires on your copy and they don't show a direct connection to any ground lead or 12v source.

S5 convertible w/o air bag would be the Type 1 audio system while w/airbag is the Type 2 audio system but both have the L/B wires.

Ok... so does anyone know what purpose the L/B wires are for?
