Steering wheel swap trouble.

I just bought an '87 TurboII a few weeks ago, and bought a steering wheel and a couple other things with the federal tax refund I just got in the mail. I went to take the steering wheel off, though, and after removing the lug nut (and later the cover of the whole ignition and everything) and detaching the horn, I still can't get the steering wheel off. It's seems almost as if it's glued down or something. I have no idea how to remove this. I read about someone else's trouble with a '93 RX-7, but his popped right off after he jammed a coat hanger in a small hole on the wheel. I have found no such hole on my steering wheel. Please help. I just signed up here, and may not be on here in the next day or two, so please email me a meportez@yahoo.com if you have had similar problems and know how to help. Thank you so much! Once I get some things done to the car and it looks decent, I will have a gallery on my site. Thanks for everything.

you need a steering wheel puller. only way, or make a home made version. but most shops will have the puller, they will probably rent it to u

I bought one from Sears for about $30. The wheel will pop right off.

you can ususally just borrow one from an automotive store. you just have to leave a deposit. It will come right off with the puller.

Just yank it back a couple of times really hard, it will eventually pull off.
