you need a puller to get it off. you can probably rent one from a parts store

luckiliy i just removed my turbo IIs 2 days ago, there will be nothing further after the main nut, just wiggle yank push and pull at the same time it also helps having the steering wheel locked, good luck :bigthumb:

Just wiggle it by pulling towards you lightly on the left and then right and so on until it pops off. Should come off with no problem. Make sure you line it up correctly when reinstalling it.

First, scribe a line along the center of the steering shaft and onto the steering wheel so you can line these back up when you put your steering wheel back on. Wouldn't want a sideways steering wheel.

Now take the nut you took off, and hand spin in it a couple threads. Not tight at all, just like 2 full turns.

Now, sit in the drivers seat. Pull back hard, and wiggle your body back and forth. Buck your body around. Keep doing this. You'll look retarded, and people will laugh.

The steering wheel will let go with a pop. Now is when you're glad you spun that nut back on. Saved you from hitting yourself in the face when the wheel let go and giving yourself a bloody nose.

Its hard to get blood out of upholestery.

You can buy one from Autozone for like $20 US, it will come in handy again in the future. If you don`t want to buy it just "borrow " one from Autozone. They will make you put up a deposit equal to the purchase price but you get it ALL back when you return it. They "loan" just about any tool you can think of for automotive work. :)
