Sorry if this is a thread jack, but hopefully it can help the OP. I also wanted to get an aftermarket wheel, but was unsure about which style and brand to go with. I was thinking most known companies like Momo, RE-A, and Sparco should be good, but does style matter? Like does one type have an advantage over another (talking about shape) or is it all personal preference? And is there another purpose for the quick release besides for anti-theft?

yup thats thread jacking,

He asked for suggestions for aftermarket wheels, but I thought maybe we could narrow it down to styles rather than just companies. Sorry.

Smaller wheels block the gauges. A 350mm wheel blocks part of the top of the speedo and tach, as well as the turn signals. A quick release will space the wheel closer to you which can make it more comfortable and also help you to see the gauges.

I've got an LTB one, it's decent, but there's a little slop, but from what I've read that's to be expected unless you're ready to spend >$200 on one.

anyone use the ebay ones?

I bought that 50 dollar ebay wheel + hub kit shit before buying real ones. They are abosolute junk, the wheel is low quality and flimsy, not to mention the hub had to be filed down in alot of places to fit. Overall very bad. I then went and spent the money and got a momo hub and a tenzoR wheel and am very happy with them.
