Car recently has been starting up funny, i start it up and its running like crap...i almost thought the engine was blown until it cleared up. Idk what the problem could be, it clears up in like 30 secs or less. engine has 25k+ mileage on rebuild, car is in below freezing temp (id say 14 degrees)

im actually running 20w50 oil in it right now , which i probably should change..but i'm not planning on driving the car, i was just parking it in a new spot to store it when this happened

cold start, 5/6 ports removed, as well as all the emissions stuff, have a full exhaust/header on the car as well

that is expected with that temp. my old na with all the same mods and a rebuild ran like hell for the first 45 seconds if it was below 40 degrees

really ? my car never ran like this before, ever in the 6 years ive owned it, so it just seems strange. I'm pretty sure i've ran it in this temp before too.

you might want to have your fuel injectors serviced or replaced in case they are leaking. usually, when that happens, your primary injectors cant hold pressure and drip a little fuel into the block after the car is turned off. mine is doing the same thing. nothing to worry about, its just fuel that has settled.the best thing to do is before you turn off the car, give it a nice rev (1500-2000rpm range). it will help clear out the system before the engine shuts down.

its kinda like a smoker with worn out lungs. when you wake up in the morning, you have to clear your throat before you can breathe properly.

can this cause anything bad to happen ? ive had the injectors flow tested/cleaned before i had the engine put in , along with the fuel filter replaced with a new one at the same time.

i was thinking it was running rich , just smelled like gas it seemed from the exhaust pretty bad..but like i said clears up relatively quick.

well come to find out, i am pretty positive the coolant seals are blown, car is pouring out smoke like a banshee and the car just had the coolant buzzer go off.

i actually overheated the engine a few times after initially installing it after it was rebuilt due to a bad clutch fan. 25k miles later the seal finally gave out. :(

how long you think it has before its blown completely ? i don't plan on driving it , i was just curious
