starting and stalling problem
I have an 88 tII swap. street ported. My problem was after the rebuild the fuel injectors were clogged shut. I cleaned them then it started. I ran it for 4 hours to start break in. Now when I try to drive it, it will try to die in gear some times, and when i hit 2500-3000 rpms it acts like its not firing of getting fuel one. It flooded out real bad when I tried to get it off the rack at the exhaust shop. I burned up 2 starters. (the were starters my fault). So I got it running again and checked the timing and it appeared to be off. Not lined up at all with the pionter in the front cover. So i tried to adjust it and still couldnt get it right. Swapped in a nonturbo crank angle sensor to see if it would run and it tried but died again. Im gonna try new plugs. I also hear popping in the exhaust when it stalls out. I am street ported, stock turbo, 3inch exhaust, no emissions, no fcd installed yet i have a electrical engineer type friend that built one for me. Any ideas?
