Starter/ignition problems
Not shure if this is the right forum, but...
I have an 87' RX7 Turbo 2. Im shure most of you know the general electrical problems the Rx can bring (ie. horn doesnt work sometimes, wiper switch failures, etc.). Yesterday I had problems starting my car. Rather, it wouldnt start at all. I noticed my engine didnt turn as I turned the ignition. At first I thought it might have been my battery, but when I went for a boost, that didnt work. I knew the battery was ok because the radio and lights were all working fine with the key in accessory. Could there be a problem with my starter solenoid? Or quite possibly the ignition being stuck? This has happened b4, but it worked again shortly thereafter. Im not much of a mechanic, so I dont want to be foolin' around under the hood. Can anyone shed some light? |
Probably loose battery cable at the starter.

Try cleaning the battery terminals

Also check the big ground wire that's connected at the clutch slave.
