It started!!!!

i've been doing a s5 motor and trans swap on my 10ae for the last month, been having a lot of fun with the wiring.
but just 2 minutes ago it finally lit off!!!!!
the only problem is, it immediately reved all the way up to like 9k. :dunno:
i'll check it out after work tommorow, but i'm thinking maybe it is because i decided not to put the air pump on?
If anyone has input please feel free to give me your thoughts, it would be appreciated.
and after i get it figured out, i will be posting a complete step by step of the swap.
thanks guys! have a good weekend!
Jake

Definitely not the air pump.

When I did my S5 TII swap I used a S4 throttle cable and it did the same thing, turns out the throttle cable cables and cable brackets are different.

Here is a pic of the two brackets, the S5 is on the right:

^^^That sounds like it. Take the throttle cable off and try to start it.

When I installed JDM S5 T2 manifolds into my s4 T2, I had to modify the bracket for the throttle and cruise control cables.

also a stuck AFM can do similar results. push the flapper door just to double check as it's free to do :D i have had this problem on about 4 old rx-7s when they just start up. it only takes as little as 6 months of sitting for it to get seized up.
