SR Rising Rate Regulator
 

does anyone have any experiance with the srmotorsports.com rising rate fuel pressure regulator, i am upgrading my fuel system to 720cc secondaries and a nippondenso high flow fuel pump, i have heard a lot of stories of when upgrading to 720cc's and a better fuel pump that when the secondaries come on the engine bogs terribly. so i was looking around for a fuel pressure regulator to control the flow and saw this one which raises pressure whenever the boost goes up, sounds pretty damn cool to me.

That's going to make your problem go from bad to worse. The reason your engine bogs when the secondaries come on is because the ECU still thinks the stock injectors are there. Too much fuel is being injected, and the overly rich mixtures are killing performance.

Increasing the fuel pressure (that's exactly what a rising-rate FPR does) is only going to increase fuel flow further, making the problem even worse.

What you need is a fuel controller (e.g. S-AFC) and an hour or so on a dyno to properly tune it. You don't need a new FPR, let alone a rising-rate one.

NO doubt man, it's gonna get ugly with that thing. Besides i wouldn't recommend more pressure for such small injectors. You really should opt for a bigger fuel pump. and an SAFC.
