spoiler no spoiler

ive pretty much made up my mind im going no spoiler (since mine is broken in to place's ) but im just wondering what you guys have to say. who likes them and who doesn't. im just talking about oem... no whale wings lol.

fcforlife 11-01-08 12:53 PM

if done right either way can look good but for my car no spoiler

Texas_Ace 11-01-08 01:43 PM

I like it with them. Though i wish I had the Sport spoiler.

CyberPitz 11-01-08 04:26 PM

I like the wing, just don't like the duckbill.

cmanns 11-01-08 05:02 PM

The s5 spoiler.

The s4 just kinda looks like "wtf is the point of that?" and is rather tacky.

Texas_Ace 11-01-08 05:15 PM

S5? S4? I was not aware they were any differnt.

Both S4 and S5 had the Nrmal spolier and the sport spolier which were the same for both styles as far as i know.

cmanns 11-01-08 05:17 PM

Oh, I didn't know that.

Which ones the ugly spoiler that isnt the one in the op's sig? Normal?

*TOUCH* 11-01-08 06:30 PM

i always though they were s4/s5 too. like said above, i like the bigger one, the little one is kinda akward...

airquin23 11-01-08 06:41 PM

I like the sleek look of having no spoiler. I have been tempted to take off mine.

Thats the normal one in his sig. The one you are thinking of is the sport version.

Thinking about it i am 99% sure that it is not S4/S5 differnce. I have 2 S4's. One of them has the sport spolier and the other the normal kind. they both look like they were from the factory that way.

I like both the stock spoilers and the Wangan Wing... Everything else to me is a big NO on a 2nd gen...

w0ppe 11-01-08 09:14 PM

I look at it this way, if it's small and secrete and is only for looks, it'll most likely look good and I like it.
If it was removed from an aircraft, it's too big...
If it was a "Remove before flying" tag on it, it's too big...
If anyone can sit on it straight, it's too big...
If people mistake your car for a hot-wheel, it's too big...
If your FC has no wing, it looks good anyway (unless it's like mine with cosmetic work half-done).

This is one of the few threads on the 2nd Gen that doesn't have "Help!", "This isn't working", "My wiring is bosched!", "Coolant problem", etc.

^ Prolly 'cuz this a tech section. Mods, plz move thread to lounge or interior/exterior/audio. J/k.

I think it depends. I like the look of the smallest stock spoiler and may get that. Otherwise my reaction rangers from indifference to opposed.

shika805 11-03-08 11:08 AM

either or, it'll look good.

OldSkoolFool 11-03-08 01:05 PM

I actually like the look of the spoiler on my '86. The later spoilers are a little too big for my tastes. Almost remind me of the awful Kamanari spoilers on Z31's.

93rx74lyfe 11-03-08 01:23 PM

S5 spoiler all the way! Any FC that is wingless just looks plain from the rear.

SE7ENS_GARAGE 11-03-08 02:40 PM

no spoiler-enlongates the car. with spoiler-tidies up the back like putting a bow on a gift :-) either way will look good if played right
