Speed sensitive steering

Gidday,
Could anyone tell me whether the speed sensitive steering in series 4's is variable or does it stop giving assistance at a certain speed?
Thanks.

That's the deal with the speed-sensitive part. It means it varies the assist based on your speed.

Next question - does the sky get progressively darker during a sunset?

;)

Both, in the series 4 cars and the series 5 T2, GXL and 'vert it varies based on vehicle speed, with full boost at under 10 MPH, half boost at 20 MPH and dropping to no boost at around 45 MPH.

Thanks icemark for the info and actually understanding the question. Makes me wonder why some of these other guys bother posting.

My s5 seems to be RPM sensitive - hi revs in 1st stiffens up. This makes carving a parking lot not fun. I may just remove it.

you gotta be real careful with that. i was accelerating into a straight away and saw something in the road so i tried to do a quick turn around it but the road was wet and i started to skid towards the woods a 50 mph so i immediatly let off the gas and pulled on the wheel to correct. since my back wheels were skidding instead of spinning the car thought it was going a lot slower and the force required to turn the wheel dropped. the result was that instead of correcting the slide i pulled the wheel around 180 degrees and spun 2 and a half times the other way. kept it on the road though ; )
