Sparkplug question --

My weird Middle-East spec FC runs on BR9ET and BR10ET sparkplugs.

I was wondering, should I be able to run other type of plugs properly? Like, BUR9EQ's maybe?

Or would it potentially be a problem?

Run the plugs specified. Those FC's are a bit different (I recall the 6PI-6 port induction being different, for example) and your fuel specs. (octane, for example) are also different. I've run across some funny shit in the training manual regarding those cars (and some euro spec. ones).

If you can, for the rest of us, take some pics of the engine bay, exhaust, front side and rear, etc. You probably have the funny rear fog light under the bumper, no?

I was also wondering... considering that my cars has a distributor, could I get a SA22 plug wire set into it, or are plug wires different for different types of plugs?

Don't the different plugs matter for the temp of the area?

Nice car...didn't see you mention what year it is. I notice the fender badges look like the 88 Anniv. edition, but you don't have the white rear lights, and they're the 89-91 lights, so I don't know. People mix parts all the time. Completely forgot you have the weird 13B with distributor! Spark plug wires - it shouldn't matter which ones you use, as long as they're resistive ones (not race ones) to prevent electronic interference (others may confirm this). SA22 is a first gen., right. Get the wires from the 84-85 GSL-SE models with the 13B - I think your ignition system is very similar to that one. I'd get Mazda ones or NGK (which makes the mazda ones). Don't forget about your distributor cap and rotor.

edit: Generally, spark plug heat range is more acccurately chosen based on type of driving, not ambient climate. If you start messing with tune, fuel mixtures, forced induction, etc., then it becomes really crucial.

Those fender badges are custom made, they are like the FD "Spirit R" badges, but say "RX-7 Club", I'll take some pictures for you later. The user xlr8planet makes them.

I should get a new cap and rotor? Why?

BUR7EQ and BUR9EQ cannot be gapped. you'll see when you get them.
