spark plug wires
 

I want ot change the sprk plug wires on my 87 n/a. I have tried and tried but I can't disconnect the wires from the coils. Is there a special trick to getting them off?

they just pull straight out.... maybe a lil twist might help them... but i just changed mine and they came out real easy

well, usually they pull off with your fingers and a slight twist.. but they sell a handy little tool at the store for less than 5$ just get a good grip on them with your fingers, they'll come off.

Twist and pull them out from the body of the boot, not the wire.

If their anything like my Racing Beat SP Wires, you'll have to peel the lip of the Boot slightly back to relieve the suction on them and then twist and pull them off.

My previous Magnecor's had to be zip tied on. Eitherwise, they fell of on their own. I found out at the worst times ie. when I'm on the highway or dyno.:)
