Spark Plug Question?

My spark plug sockets arn't long enough to extract the spark plugs on my rx7. Is there a certain socket I need to use?

Most dedicated spark plug sockets have a soft (i.e. rubber) insert inside.
When brand new, they are a pain to slip onto the spark plug - sometimes I tend to remove this rubber insert.

Yeah, my Craftsman spark plug socket doesn't go on all the way, cause the spark plug tip protrudes into the other end, preventing the ratchet from "locking" onto the socket.
No biggie, it had enough space to get the ratchet on and loosen.

The other thing is that you're running the wrong spark plugs.
The dedicated NGK spark plug part is designed to use the conventional 13/16" spark plug socket.
Some owner use other plugs which are not designed for the engine (but fit), and this causes headaches with using the conventional spark plug socket.
