Spark Plug Locations Same on J-Spec? Ignition Coils Go To Same Spot?
Do the plugs match the rotors on a J-Spec engine?
I mean, I know that the fuel rail is reversed. Are the plugs too? Meaning, on the coils its says T1 and T2, Trailing 1 goes with front rotor and trailing 2 goes with rear rotor. On the J-Spec, is it the opposite? Thanks! |
plugs are exactly the same as USDM, and on mine so were the fuel lines, I've heard rumors that JDM engines have reversed fuel lines but on my s5 engine they were the same as the US engines, that is the front line went to the primary fuel rail, on to the secondary rail and out through the Fuel pressure regulator back to the tank....

Uhhhh, yeaahhh, sure...since japan is on the other side of the world and they drive on the opposite side, everything is opposite. The engine turns backwards to the way ours does, and the rear rotor is number 1.
:dunno: |
The only thing really different on the JSPEC is they have left handed threads on all their fasteners, so your going to have a problem in the future if you lose any of the ones on the engine. Just try getting a left handed threaded fastener at AutoZone. Good luck on that. Just ain't gonna happen.

^^^hahaha...

Thought it didn't make any sense....

That was just my pathetic attempt at ....humor.
I know nothing about JDM/JSPEC engines, except recently I've been told that, on a turbo engine at least, the brake booster feed line is NOT at the back of the upper intake manifold but located near the BAC. Learn something new every week. |
