Sound gets louder as car goes faster and a quick brake question
This sound is bugging me eveer since I left work heading for home an hour ago. Its an intermittence sound and the faster I go the closer the intervals. It stops or I just cant hear it anymore when I go over 20mph.
I looked under the car and nothing is attached. I checked the tires and nothing was wrong with it. Im going to go check it out again later. Quick question. To do a 4 piston brake caliper swap, can I just swap over the 4 piston brake spindle and everything, and then swap over my single piston calipers over to the other car? |
If you've got a 5 lug with the single piston calipers then you can just bolt the 4 pots right up with no other mods.

might be wheel bearings or even loose lugnuts or somthing of the sort.... i have all sorts of sounds coming out of my suspension in my bug
|
something like that happened to me right after i changed the wheels on my saab
re torque all of your lugs |
funny thing is that I never heard this sound before because I had an exhaust leak. hahaha
I just fixed that leak yesterday, and now Im hearing all these sounds that I never heard before. I also hear a faint whining sound coming from the tranny everytime I let the clutch go. When I push the clutch in from netural or in any gear, it goes away. |
Well, I think I know what the problem is now.
The sound is similiar to when a rotor hits the brake pads when the rotor is warp. When I bought the car my friend didnt replace 1 of the rear rotor because he said it was a bitch to take out........ |
