Some questions regarding the car and stuff. (searched)
First off, I just got my reman started today, so the car has no miles on the motor yet.
1.) Can I lean out my idle mixture with my safc2 any? It smells really really rich, and I just wanna know if i can correct anything ( stock 550cc injectors, stock fuel pump, stock everything) Also if I can correct it, what revs would I do that at? 2.) My slave cylinder is being gay. First of all it doesnt have a bleeder cap on it, and I don't understand how to get it to extend out and connect to the clutch fork. Also when I try to pump the clutch, where the rubber boot meets the slave clinder, it leaks lots. (Do I need a new one?) 3.) My reman just started today, and I was under the impression that it wouldn't idle at all. Yet it holds a 750 idle dead on. But it shakes a bit int he engine bay. will this quit as the enging breaks in more? Thank you so much guys Ryan |
1) yes,, but be careful
2) Its not supposed to leak at the boot, you need a new/used one. 3) at least it idles? |
if the engine shakes alot bump the idle up to about 850. then drive it for a while like that for about 500km's then try bumping her back down.

I think atkins runs ~$30 for a new slave when they run their ebay specials. You could probably call them up and get the same deal though if their having a good day. Dan's a good guy.
