Some Q's about some broken stuff

I went to look at an 87 rx-7 gx and there were a few things that were wrong and I was wondering what they might be.

#1. After driving for about 10 minutes there was this buzzer that went off once and only once. The guy said it was because of the coolant and if I flushed it, it would be fine. It doesn't overheat.

#2. There was a sound coming from the rear end. I sorta sounded like your engine sounds if you downshift without rev matching with a little rattle added in. He said it was the rear diff and probably needed a fluid change. It only happened when the clutch was engaged.

#3. The engine was rebuilt about 5000km's (10months) ago and when it starts it idles at 3k then slows to about 1500 and fluctuates between 1300 and 1500.

I was just wondering if this stuff is minor or if it was stuff that is difficult or expensive to fix.

Thanks guys

The buzzer is probably from bad electrical or the guy tried to change the coolant without the car running. Good luck with it.

uh aren't u supposed to change coolant with the car off?

#1. The coolant buzzer will go off if there is insufficient coolant or air in the system. I'd ask that he bleed the system not you

#2. Rear end might be the differential mount. I hear they are a PITA to replace. Kinda a big job too. He should take care of that too. If there is 'creaking' sounds its the control links-easy to change. I had noises that I thought were driveshaft or differential mounts, but when I replaced the rear springs all the noises vanished

#3. The high rev at start up is how it should start then drop a moment later to around 750RPM. TPS adjustment or vacuum leak?
