solid rear subframe bushings

I did a search and the only solid rear subframe bushings I could find are the PBM ones. I don't like their design too much. Does anyone else have recommendations.

Also another reason I am asking is because I shortened the delrin ones I made by .25" I finally got my car on a 4 post lift and checked clearances while on all 4s, and my battle version toe arms are slightly touching the chassis. Either I am going to hammer my chassis for more clearance or I am going to get another set of bushings

Oh yeah, anyone ever come up with a good tested diff mount yet?

Mounted the pbm toe arms upside down for clearance, not sure you are able to do that with the battle versions. I have been rocking there solid everything out back from PBM and other then being stiff, I have had zero issues with it.

Oh cool! That would help with my clearance issues! I never thought of that. I wonder how that would effect suspension movement and handling

Have not seen any adverse effects from it. I set my toe, and have forgotten all about it lol

Bowtie7 on Norotors makes spacers to make the PBM subframe spacers stock height.

Any reason you would want that with the PBM solids?

I did get to look under my car, I was curious how you could flip the mounting for the toe arms where it meets the subframe?

Because there is no real need to raise the subframe in the car. It just screws up your pinion angle.

From looking at my car it seems the driveshaft is pointing down towards the diff. Of course if the subframe were to be raised, the diff bushings would also have to be raised too, or else it would cause a horrible angle

I will try and grab a picture tonight. I just remember flipping it on the alignment rack haha

Yes exactly, but raising both still messes with the driveline angle.

archaphil 05-08-15 04:22 PM

interesting. any adverse effects of running it that way over time? So far everything is smooth on my car.

LargeOrangeFont 05-08-15 05:05 PM

It could wear the u joints in the driveline over time, or not allow clearance for suspension components.

hmm, idk. with the full PBM rear setup everything seemed to line up straight as an arrow. I get no odd vibrations. It is certainly solid, and you hear the diff noise while driving.

Here is that pic Gross:

Attachment 625473

It is only upside down at the trailing arm side

Well that's good. As long as you make sure everything is setup correctly, they should work fine.
