Solid diff mounts- fitment issues...

I recently picked up this 1988 gxl diff with solid mounts for my 90 n/a. one of the solid mounts is pressed in already, the other side still has the stock mount in it. i was comparing the hieght of the stock and solid mounts where the bolt would go through, and it doesn't seem to add up. Here's the pics:

Stock mount:

Side-by-side (here you can see the hieght difference):

there is a big rubber damper/washer that goes underneath the mount. it really doesn't affect how the diff is mounted to the body.

ah ok thanks. i haven't actually had a chance to get the car up on a hoist to look at it yet....

is that rubber damper/washer supposed to come with the new mounts, or do i use existing stuff from the car?

Looks like an MMR piece. http://www.mmr-direct.com/

MMR sells polyethylene diff mounts. I know why its made that thick on top. It because the metal sleeve goes that high, so he made the solid mount according to that, instead of the top of the rubber peaks. The sleeve goes a tad further.

It should be a tad over 1/2", at least that is how I'm going to make mine out of delrin
