Solid Boost for a s4 TII= s5 turbo ported
I finished installing by s5 turbo on saturday and took her out for the weekend. The turbo was ported not completly to the max but basically i simply doubled the size of the first wastegate hole and increased the second size by about 3mm.
I was driving on the highway yesterday and i was comming out of the toll booths so i decide to drop it and see what happens. I started out in 3rd and took her to redlind and my boost was solid it went to just over 10psi and no more. THen i shifted to 4rth and gave it wot and same thing but then i noticed i was going 110+ and let off totally.
This is a dramatic increase from my old setup which was a s4 turbo stock wastegate. In which if i redlined i was hitting 15psi in every gear at redline. Now in any gear i attain 5-6 psi under 4k and 6-10psi over 4k
Im thinking about getting that downpipe that seperates the wastegate from the turbo and gives you a second path for the wastegate. I think with that ill get even better boost control then i can get a MBC or such.
Also id like to thank you guys for the help cuz i would have never gotten my boost under control is it wasent for my peeps here at the club. I used your advice. Thanks:D :D :D

oh damn that sucks i couldent be away from my 7 for a day!! Well you should check them out. I go to the races around boston. I get together with some freinds in Revere. We got a little crew going. On saturdays sometimes you see many rx7's. Theres a group of FD's that cruises around town they go sometimes to BU. One of the cars is a yellow FD that belongs to Barry of BNR motorsports in salem. Its pretty much the nicest one around. Ive heard about the races down at storrow and those are insane usually after the clubs let out around 2 and such. You see all kinds of hooked up rides.

Yeah, I quite often see a group of 5 fd's burning their way up mass ave around 2-3am, haven't seen all that many second gens, occasionally catch a glimpse of one.

nice. I have my s4 turbo ported the edge of the stock flap. I'm too low on funds to buy an s5 turbo right now so I think I'm going to weld on a bigger flap....:D

hmm yeah could be a good temp solution. To be honest im broke as a mofo myself but i got my s5 turbo pretty cheap. On ebay it cost me 170, then the mani for 150. I got it from Fc3s.org so i was confident about the sale. So far no probs and the turbo is boostin well. I really recomend it as a fix for boost probs also the fact that the s5 turbo is better overall.
