Hey guys what's up. This is my first post, and im just lookin for a little information if you could help me out :).

I've been intrested in rotary's ever since my cousin bought an 04 rx-8 2 years ago (which I instantly fell in love with) but right now I just dont think I can spend that kind of money, and from what I hear I am probobly getting more bang for my buck out of an rx-7 anyways, while still keeping that nice rotary smoothness.

At the top of the page is a short video of my cousin's friends 1989 rx7. I just saw this video a few minuets ago myself, and I am blown away. I dont have much technical info on the car right now eg: miles, interior condition, ect, but I know that this guy takes good care of his cars, and he is probobly only looking for about $4,000 from what I understand.

So is there anything I should know specificly to look for when I go and check out this car?

Any tips would be great, I will post more info as soon as I find out.

Thanks,

Tim

blown coolant seals.
low compression.
bad workmanship.

there is a thread with a complete list of things to look out for. Check the FAQs for more details.

Ok, so I found out that it needs a new water pump apparantly.

I wouldnt imagine that's anything serious or expensive?
