so I threw an upgraded turbo on...

I have a hybrid turbo now. It has a TO4b compressor housing, compressor wheel and p-trim turbine wheel. Along with a 360 degree thrust bearing. Ok, now:

I don't know too much about the exacts of turbos. I know the intake side has gotten alot bigger and will flow better but the exhaust side is still small. Now I really need to get an aftermarket catback to make this turbo flow better and boost better, correct? I plan on doing this soon anyways, but just wanted to hear what some people had to say.

First of all I would make sure you have fuel under control. Doesn't matter how free your exhuast is if you chunk a seal ;)

Yes, assuming you have fuel under control (tuning with a wideband would be nice...) then dump the stocker catback. I think I recall you being a big dual guy. So was I but I went with the n1 single passenger exit. Now I think dual looks wierd :p

I am more than likely going to go with a custom dual setup. Probably a full 3" y-pipe to some mufflers with 3" inlets. Personally I believe it will flow at least as good as a single 3" exhaust if the y-pipe is done correctly. I've thought about single, but I love dual exhausts.

I've always heard 3inch single is the best.

Better in fact. ;)

I hope that turbo upgrade included a ported wastegate...

HA! yes this is what ive learned in past few days to say the least. I was just going to ask the same thing. What are you doing for a WG?
Ryde i mean if you love dual thats cool and all but man try to go with single its really so much better for the turbo i mean it spools so nicely, plus its cheaper, lighter and to me looks better but hey... Corse then you really have to worry bought that WG maybe with duals it wont be as much an issue cuz it doesent flow AS good right?
Good luck bro sounds like its gonna kick some ass

How is one 3" pipe going to make the turbo "spool nicer" than two 3" pipes?

Wrong...

Ya I ported the wastegate out to 22mm and ported the inside of the wastegate so it would flow out better.
